Trending @HCL; New joinee|| What does non contracted shadow means?

Under assignation tab i saw my assignment details were present. In that i saw billing status as non contracted shadow was mentioned. Also the assignment end date was 22nd sept? If such short tenure why did they assign then? Can someone pls explain?

Initially when you are assigned to project that short tenure is there till you get actually assigned to team and then they will increase the duration.
