Never experienced - the manager is harassing and rudely talking
I got onsite and my visa is in progress, but I took one day leave last week and unfortunately couldn't get a chance to inform my manager but I did inform other project stakeholders. So due to this my manager is taking gurgede on me and spoiling my career by giving comments in speed appraisal.
Bro
My suggestion is not to go for any discussion with your manager at the moment as your Visa is in Progress. Just say him a sorry and get your work done and move to your onsite. Anyways it your responsibility to inform. So no harm in saying Sorry to him.
If you go for a discussion, he may take revenge and spoil your onsite opportunity
Just think of it...

You are right, nothing harm in saying sorry and I said three times already, I agreed that my mistake and apologized in personal Messenger, teams and as well as in one of the call. But still he is not behaving good with me.. not responding to my any of the queries. Not responding in teams nor calls.. if he need any status then he is asking my team member to get the status from me and he will inform to manager.. all these kind of dramas are happening.
It was very simple thing.. I apologised and this was my first mistake in my career or else I am very responsible person with respect to the work.

Don't give tooo much respect they don't deserve. You already behaved as a professional by apologizing that is all

Just raise a grievance , these people won't stop at nothing
I faced that

So what action did you take?

At first place it's your mistake that you haven't informed your manager. In Every professional life our first POC always be a manager, and he/she must be aware of our leave, our any task related communication we should keep them in loop. Because at junior level most associates do not know that managers have their individual meeting with other stakeholders and they asked progress about each individual team member, so the manager must be aware about his resources under him. And managers expectations are not wrong.
In your case if you are able to inform other stakeholders about your leave, then at the same time you must be able to inform your manager too, but why you skipped him, you know only.
That's the main pain point for your manager that you directly skipped him, which he didn't like. There may be chances that directly from the stakeholder he gets to know that you are on leave, and he is not aware of it and that may be in the meeting in front of everyone. Think about how embarrassing and insulting for him in such a situation.
Think from his perspective as well.
I saw other people response as well, few are saying he must be jealous that you are going onsite, but think yourself without his efforts and nomination will you be able to go onsite really?
Even after all his good approach towards you, he gets skipped by resources, so he as well started behaving like that way.
And few people telling manager must be jealous, but nobody knows most of people in TCS having valid H1B visa, still people are not traveling due to their other family preferences and personal choice. So don't think that manager will get jeleous. Because before any resources he only can get first chance to go onsite, and he must be not interested in that, so he nominated other one to get them opportunity.
Not sure why people taking always wrong way about anyone's behaviour.
Moral of the story, I would suggest you can personally meet him, and tell him about mistake what exactly happened which caused that you forgot to inform him, and apologies on your behaviour and give him assurance that it will not happen again.
Not sure your visa processing is for which country, but if it is US, then think that if visa will not be done in lottery and you need to stay here only, then how it will be situation for you, to stay in same project under same manager. Better to get this sort out in polite way, if you will involve HR, then forget you will get any resolutions, rather you will get into more n more tactics and you will not any option rather than come out of tcs.

@ShyPlant9 - This could not be the only reason for such negative attitude. Apologise and talk to HR if this was indeed the only time you did this mistake. There could be another scenario as someone else in comments pointed out that he might not want you to leave to onsite. He might have tried his best to retain you but unfortunately couldnt. So he is tryint to strong arm you.
Explain your entire situation to HR and try to get some resolution.
All the best buddy

TCS managers are generally rude and especially if they feel they have rewarded you with onsite opportunity or promotion. I faced the same and there was no reason at all for the manager to be rude and block my work so I simply looped HR.
