Netflix’s ‘keeper test’ made me a better engineer

I know netflix’s ‘keeper test’ gets a lot of hate, but honestly, it’s one of the best things about working here. it keeps the bar high and pushes everyone to bring their A-game every day. Last year, my manager told me i was at risk of not passing the test, not because i wasn’t good enough, but because i wasn’t pushing myself to grow. They gave me actionable feedback and resources to improve and now, and i’m leading projects i never thought i’d be capable of handling. it’s tough love, but it works.
