Needed advice on submission of Id

I serving NP and currently working from Nagpur off. My Asset is also from Nagpur but my depute loc is Kolkata. My doubt is Can I submit the Id Card on my LWD at nagpur offc . Or would they say to go to Kolkata to just give the id card as it's my location. Any person who has been in this situation ?
