Need WFH bcoz of pregnancy but confused...
I have completed 4yrs with TCS and my manager also initiated my promotion last year but it's pending and still waiting for it. They asked me to wait by saying list is not yet come to them but I am pregnant with 6 months and I have not informed them about my pregnancy because of promotion. Now I need a rest I can't go to office in this high temperature. What should I do plz suggest...

I understand don’t take such tensions in the final period of pregnancy. I suggest you to Keep promotion as less priority as it might impact your little one because of mental tension
If it's pending then it will remain pending. Doesn't matter if you go to the office or not. Mostly the manager is lying to you. Either he is yet to raise it or he already got the rejected status. In 4 years i got 2 promotions. This is the 6th year and the manager already told me what the business side said to him about my movement to IT from BPO. They are not going to do this for the time being and don't waste my time hoping for it. So with his suggestion only i got an offer from outside with 100% hike and trying to negotiate with TCS
Your health should be your first priority. Take WFO exception as tcs provide the same for pregnancy. For promotion leave it for TCS and hope for the best.
I understand your situation as I am traveling in the same boat. Its a difficult situation as pregnancy does keep hold of some career progression. Even though they initiated a promotion, manager has to again send a recommendation to HR. I don't think they will do it in this quarter considering the no hike situation. So I would suggest to inform prior to team as your third trimester is gonna start and take WFH till delivery. Try as much as possible to convince manager to send recommendation and if not happening just let it go. Wish you happy pregnancy journey :)
Hi.. Do not expect promotion . They will give to there favourite one. Check for maternity policy or go for Leave without pat.
