Need tech stack suggestion (3 yoe)

Hi everyone,

I have 3 yoe working as a Frontend dev. I'll be looking for new opportunities after few months. But I want to stay in Pune(family reasons). So mostly looking remote or pune based companies.

I am thinking of learning backend in golang as I see few companies such as mindtickle, nvidia, nutanix, pubmatic, arista networks hiring golang/full stack devs.

Current tech stack: javascript, typescript, react, next

Is this a good move? Or shall I learn java, spring boot.

I would suggest to study system design as well. Programming language is important, yes, but in future, system design knowledge would be more beneficial.

Yeah, will start doing it after DSA.

DSA is something which is exciting and time consuming, each problem not only takes time but also challenges to attempt other problems as well and end up doing only DSA. better start along with DSA instead of after DSA.

I have found that MNCs usually prefer someone with Java since they have Backend in Java but in startups they usually ask for new trendy tech stacks so Go is preferred. You should see what sort of companies you want to target.

Tried learning java, but found it boring:(

Then it's clear. Go for Golang.

So what have you decided on now?

Frontend but will keep learning java on side. There are not enough jobs in Go:(

Alright. I have also been stressing about the same. Started learning NextJs on frontend side and will someday try to learn Java when I get the time since Java has a lot of demand in India.

Best way to find frontend or mern fresher jobs?

Just apply everywhere (check the experience required for the job, don't spam). Honestly, market is pretty bad. Don't get discouraged if you don't get interviews.

Be patient, you'll land a great role. All the best!
