Trending @Infosys; Need suggestions: Technical Role or Visa
Hey Folks. I'm currently working as JL6, in consulting role and got H1B selected as well. Tasks mostly which I do is mostly technical in nature and want to remain technical.
Now I've got a project opportunity in offsite to be TA, for onsite my visa application was created consulting (management as well) role in which I'm not interested. Though the project is yet to be assigned for visa stamping (H1B- visa application and then visa stamping : for both processes you need to have a project and they can be different (based on requirements). Confused between TA role or H1B, which one to select?
First thing, if you go onsite your Indian salary will stop and you will not get increments lm indian salary (which anyways infy is not giving these days) plus your profession gets delayed while you are onsite and you cannot try job in India and also Most US employees are not transferring H1B also these days.. In offshore idf you get tech arch role you can easily shift in one year outside with good hike. There is huge demand for Gen AI architects these days outside so try your luck.
