Need suggestions on job change
Hi everyone I am having offer with 8.5 lpa[3.4 yoe], but my manager is trying to retain me and he is trying to get the same offer here in TCS.in a dilema wheather to go for job change and explore other opportunities or stay here in TCS with same offer if they provide .

I was in same situation as you 2 years before. I had three offers for three times of my salary that time and TCS retained me by giving same. I stayed here . Now I am worried about that because market was so forward and TCS Is standing at back cauz the projects and people involvement everything differs from other companies to TCS. Only one thing that holded me back was JOB SECURITY. Now that also not there. So I will strongly recommend you to make a jump. For sure you woll get one step ahead good experience in other companies when compared to TCS. Now when I compare the same role of me with my college mates they are so upskilled. And I am so afraid to give Interviews outside because of my bad knowledge but trying my best atleast to make a jump Now.
Practically speaking everywhere condition is bad.. Everything Depends on your SKILLSET..
If salary is your objective then better to stay here if they are matching the salary as outside also you may face kind of hidden challenges
Just double check the fixed and variable components and make sure you don't have the C band criteria like digital ppl
Stick with tcs and do try again after 10 months
Get 40-50 percent hike on 8.5
But only they are matching with your now offer
That's wat my manager also stated " stay here for a while as outside and situation is not good and u can try after few months" he is convincing me in that way. Had HR discussions and asked for 9.5 which they did not agree 😅😅
They can easily match if you have last two good ratings
