Today, I had an interview with the CTO. After a long conversation, he seemed happy with me. However, when we discussed compensation, I mentioned my current CTC is 15.25 LPA and my expected CTC is 25 LPA. He said it’s too high and that he could offer a maximum of 20 LPA. I responded that I would need at least 22 LPA, considering I have around 7.5 years of experience in Mobile Application Development and currently lead the Android & Flutter team, managing three major projects.
He said he would get back to me regarding the next steps. The conversation ended on a positive note.
However, two hours later, I noticed a new post on his LinkedIn profile advertising the same position.
I’m feeling a bit uncertain now — I really want this job. I’ve already sent a follow-up email but haven’t received a response yet.
What do you think I should do?
