Need suggestions for promotion C2 -->C3A

If promotion window open after April 2026, I am planning to ask for promotion currently I am in C2 with 11.31 lpa with zero tax net in hand around 75k/m. So if I get promotion I will be in tax eligible and ending with less in hand salary? Can anyone who recently face this situation please guide me, it's good call or not. Also what is max or min hike we will get if we promoted to C3A?

If you are promoted to C3A, then you will never get 100% QVA. Hike may be in between 12-15%. And the main thing when this promotion window will open no one knows.

I agree this but my doubt is if increment is really worth?

Honestly it aint worth it. They kept saying they will give the promotion and they are doing this to 1 lakh + employees at different levels.

You can definitely reach out and expect a speech about onsite and promotion soon just hold on. They been doing that for past 1.5 years. Just to give you a small context. My sister project consist of 7 people reporting to a lead. These 7 people have completed 4 to 5 years of exp. All of them are awaiting promotion.

So when you take the organisation as a whole into consideration imagine the number of people waiting for the promotion.

I know for a fact they aint gonna start rolling out promotion just like that to everyone. Its going to be a political blood bath. Like in the above example you cant just promote 7 people to next level in one shot. They will place criteria and stuff.

If they do promote people just like that everyone it will end up leading to TCS position value degradation which is a huge think. A headhunter told me about this. If a company promotes everyone lets say from Jr to senior position in one go, the other companies will end up valuing the position as a lower tier than the senior position in their company. This has happened to our GenAI certification thanks to WITCHA, bring that up in an interview and people brush it aside even if one has taken a diff certification.

My advice to those folks completing 4 years, talk to manager and if you feel it aint happening just jump ship. EoD its our career and life the organisation doesnt give a damn about us. Upskill and just jump.

It depends on what components are increased after promotion, if the major increase happened on variable bonus then it will not change much in hand
Dont worry about tax as if u getting 75k your promotion will not give 25k hike so u will be under tax bucket
One major downgrade is u can be considered for layoffs in future
