Need suggestions

One of my cousin who works in tcs is expecting his child by next june. He already has one 1.5 yers child. He wants to spend some good 3-6 months time with family.

He and his wife don't have elders support that much in the family as well to take care of child.

Can he go for LWP option for this scenario?
