I'm constantly experiencing harassment from my manager. Even when he's on leave and I take on unassigned tasks to stay productive, he finds fault with it. Despite working more than an 8-hour shift and informing him of personal emergencies, he still demands my presence 12 days a week. I'm willing to escalate to HR, but he's even obstructing that. Despite my efficient work and daily updates, he remains unsatisfied. It feels like he has a personal issue with me. I've even asked to be removed from the team, but he refuses. I'm incredibly stressed and desperate to leave this situation. The constant micro-management, criticism, and finding fault in everything I do has become unbearable. I'm considering quitting the project entirely. Any suggestions to help resolve this would be greatly appreciated.

I would suggest collect some evidence which can proof your overtime working and an unbalanced work schedule then directly report to HR or senior authority. Plus if you can show some medical thing it would be great saying that over work pressure is not helping your health

Just leave his messages on seen after working hours + 1 hr 😑 don't be too good, that I did few times and one day happened a lot I told him I have many school time friends in Bangalore who used to really bad and I was also one of them thinking to visit Bangalore office someday can we meet 😂😂😂 he never answered and changed his behaviour.

If you know your senior manager or director of your project. Better inform him about this and also ask for release from the project.

Raise concern in peakon and after still behaviour is the same then report to HR and his senior manager.
Don't become victims and raise voice

Ask him to release from project through email . If he didn’t acknowledge that raise to ur N+ 1 manager . I mean Seniour level and put CC his Seniour manager . Still didn’t get any reply Means stop working and act like smart work . Don’t take any tasks .

Drop an email to your N+2 explaining the situation briefly n request for a discussion

I appreciate whoever has given suggestions to N+1 but I want to tell you just one thing that I have been in this situation so I will give you honest answer. These management people are same.
Just send an email that you want to change the project and request for release just for proof. And don’t work I mean do your task but at your own pace and if manager ask then simply say I am not able to give here my 100%.
I have tried everything but nothing happened so I used to say these things in Peakom and in DSM as well so finally manger decided to release me.
But for this u should be little extravert.

You are giving him important so he is taking advantage of that .
Stop listening to him ,mail to HR N+ 2 and speak up
Remember you should not be afraid of such low grade people even if they are your manager

Just raise concern this to senior level, this should not happen.

Have a conversation with him, see if you can clear the air, watch, no improvement, reach out to his/her N+1 and then HR
