I am working as SE in infosys. I trained under Bigdata technology. I have been assigned for a support role by my manager. I asked him to assign a development role for a project in data engineering. He asked me to gain skills in data engineering. Can anyone suggest me what are the present trending technologies in data engineering?

It is super broad domain right now. But you can start with basics of data engineering and then overview of it from YouTube. I believe simpli learn has put a good free video on it.
Once you find your niche there and have an idea what you want to experiment you can search for developer recommendations on youtube. There is vast free knowledge and their guidance helps alot.
