Need suggestion/advice for investment

I have been in a corporation for almost a decade but I have not invested in SIP/Mutual Funds/Share Market yet. Because I have seen my relatives loose in the share market and they need to sell their property to overcome the market price. So I was always afraid to do the investment in that direction. Also I don’t have any knowledge about that. But at the same time I am worried about the future savings. I have only investment in VPF. Please provide your suggestions/advices/experiences on this.

"Zerodha varsity" search on youtube. Good knowledge base to get started.

Stick to asset allocation based on age and goals.
Short term goals( less than 6 years) - higher contribution to debt funds (80-100) % Long term goals( greater than 6 years) - higher contribution to equity funds ( 50-70) %

Also go for direct funds and index funds if investing in equity. Reason: chances of selecting high performance AMCs when you reach closer to your goal is less., better not to take a chance

Hi, it's never too late to start learning and investing. I will suggest you to do a little research about investment especially share market and MF. It's easy to understand and once you have gone through the basics you will understand what mistakes your relatives made. And if you are still not sure try investing in real estate(for that also basic research is must)
