Need Suggestion

I joined TCS BPS as a fresher, For the past 3 years worked in an SRE support role. I am interested in UI/UX designer I know tools like Figma, Adobe XD, Photoshop, Illustrator and more, did fresco play, Udemy courses and Google courses as well. Currently I am in a new project but not yet started for the past 4 months. Now what can I do like can I ask for a release to move UI/UX project any possibility to get that? More importantly now appraisal time so I am in confusion Can anyone please assist on this...
