Trending @Infosys; Need Suggestion- Worst onshore lead
If we are in a project and having IJP release date from current project in about 60 days. Can we stop or reduce work a bit for current client so as to groom for new role. My onshore lead is making the life hell and not putting any efforts from his end.
Mainly, confirming, if I not take much pressure now.. there will not be chances, current project will not release at very last moment, right?
If someone can confirm on this please.

Depends on timing. If you are joining new project post October it’s a risk. As old guys will screw your appraisal. Infy currently it should be fine, but make sure you change your manager to new team the day you move. And make sure he does your appraisal. Again a small risk , so lazy managers will ask the old managers to do appraisal is majority of year you spend with old managers.

Yes, same I have been told that Older manager will be doing appraisal for me as majority time will be with old manager. How to procced, can you please guide. Shall i ask old manager to close apprisal the day itself I will be moving to new. Or whole annual apprisal he will close at the cycle end- I have oct-sept cycle so it need to be closed in sept 2024
But in case of IJP, i have heard of audit team who takes care of negatively impact on rating due to ijp by old project. Is it?

You can change manager and reviewer to new folks in Icount yourself. The day you move. But it’s upto your new manager to do the appraisal. He can delegate to old manager or take his feedback. It’s just two months right just bear with your on-site guy and go in good note. Why have this hassle ?

Don't stop but yes reduce your workload. Ask your manager for replacement so that you can complete the KT asap. And don't worry , current project can't hold you forcibly.

Thanks this is helpful. Got your point. They have not disclosed about my release to onshore lead, but parallely I have started KT for shadow resource. But onshore lead himself not doing anything and expects me to represent everything and handle.

@WhiteSlave - Just one more query, if my manager not get my replacement till IJP release date, it won't be my issue and they cannot hold me bcz of this. Can you pls help advise on this?

It's not your concern to find a replacement. Nobody can stop you from getting released.
