I am in project since 10 month and project is a kind of call center. I know JS and React. I want to work on development project. i ask for release but my manager is say you have stay for 18 month as per policy and there is no backup for you so i can't release you at this time. Ther project environment is so toxic. Please suggest me to gate out from this project. Thank you in advance.
I would say switch is the best you can do in this scenario. No one cares here about your skills ..they just want to keep you tagged in a project so that they can charge respective client. Also i dont think there is any 18 month policy . He is just trying to keep you in the proj so hes doesn't have to look for other resource

I am in the same situation, thinking to quit as it doesn’t add any value to work exp but am in se role. So waiting for the progression 🫠
Are you a lateral joiner? If yes, then there's no such thing as 18 month policy. People have left within 2-3 months of joining in my project as its hectic and managment is...you know ...managment.
The so called 18month project policy vanishes once you resign 😁
