Currently at a service company with ₹29 LPA. I joined recently but the project I was initially mapped to didn’t move forward with client onboarding. Now I’m in the pool/bench and the service line is looking for another assignment. My profile is currently blocked for another project and a client interview may happen soon, but nothing is confirmed yet.
At the same time, I have an opportunity with Odessa (product company) in Bangalore: • ₹25 LPA + possible joining bonus • 5 days WFO • Rotational shifts (every 2 weeks) due to 24×7 product support • Potentially more stable work since it’s product-based
I’m also interviewing with GlobalLogic (completed 2 technical rounds, manager round pending). Salary discussion hasn’t happened yet but it may be around my current range.
My dilemma: • Stay at ₹29 LPA in a service company with project uncertainty • Or move to ₹25 LPA product company with rotational shifts but likely stability
For context, I also have a young family, so stability and work-life balance matter too.
Would appreciate thoughts from people who’ve dealt with bench situations in service companies or moved to product roles with shift-based work. What would you prioritize in this situation?
