Need serious advice
I am a tester. Using excel, SQL thats it. Now I am thinking I am wasting my time. How to make a progress in my career? I don’t wanna stay here for long time. Some says study AWS AI ML but with this current job I hardly find time for myself. These days I am working for 11 hrs🫠. Any leads or someone pls advice what to do now? How to change my current situation? What should I learn first? What should be my first step?
Since you mentioned excel and Sql, i believe you are referring to manual/functional testing. Also I do not know your technical or educational background.
I think First step should be to learn test automation using selenium. This will put you in technical world. Try to make a switch internal or outside so that you might find more time to spend for upgrading yourself.
Then, Slowly start learning more on the language that you are choosing like Java or Python.
Attend maximum interviews, it is not for the jobs(feel free to accept any of the offer is outstanding), but it will help you to understand what the current market is looking for and that will help you make better decisions on what to learn.
Yes, AWS AI ML are all trending, but it will take some time. Even if you aim at that, make a clear plan and step by step on how you can reach there. And then strictly follow it.
