Liquid fund is not needed unless you are putting in ETFs and want to do opportunity investing.
Imo this can be a bit better:
5k- you can change this to hdfc flexi cap
2k- mid cap
2k - small cap
1k - gold
2.5k- Some hybrid fund with debt more than 70%. You can choose Parag Parikh hybrid debt fund.

Good plan.
Would avoid Liquid fund due to poor taxation. Get any Arbitrage fund instead.
Just target increasing overall investment by 10% every year
Thanks.
I didn't know about arbitrage funds.
I chose liquid fund for having something with more liquidity, so I can build my emergency fund slowly. I am a complete beginner in this, just started a few months ago.
What is the use case for arbitrage funds?

Portfolio looks good but I would suggest since you have invested nifty50, midcap 150, smallcap 250 why can't you just invest nifty500 index?
Nifty 500 is buy the buy market and no hassle to choose and rebalancing. If you see longer term it will outperform other funds and it has minimal expenses ratio. Just one fund is enough put your equity related things over there. And for gold you can buy etfs or sovereign gold bond from rbi retail which is direct platform from RBI

arbritage funds better than liquid funds

5k in parag, 2.5k in midcap ,2.5k in smallcap, 1.25k liquid edelweiss,1.25k in any large cap mf / gold
