HI Reader, Giving you a point-to-point summary on myself and the current work area that I belong to.

If you feel you can contribute & lay some of your opinions to the questions posted in end, it’ll be awesome 🤩

My work EX:

  1. Working as a technical consultant for a SAP project (~2.5yrs as project experience). Tech stack: SAP BASIS ADMINISTRATION, SAP HANA as main database and some basic knowledge for other DBs like, ASE, SYBASE & MaxDB.

  2. Loves troubleshooting and experimenting but in current project, experimentation doesn’t happen.

  3. Would be interested to learn about different functional/client based modules in SAP.

Q/A time:

Now, currently am checking other aspects of my project whether I can get anything worth spending my time on but the hunt has been going on for a while and nothing fruitful yet.

Do I go for above OR start preparing for a switch/job interviews? Also, any suggestions for the other modules I can switch to like, SAP C(PI) or anything?

Am a bit confused so any help is much appreciated;)

Hey, I am also SAP consultant I have total 2.7 Years of experience in SAP ATTP module. I worked in Capgemini for 2 years and switched to accenture in December.

Many times we used to connect with SAP basis team in my last project, that time from my senior colleague who had 13 years of experience in SAP who was also my manger he informed me that in SAP ,SAP BASIS and SAP security people are highly paid.

So my suggestion to you is if there is no learning in your project or if you are edoing same task again and again ask your manger to assign new project to learn new things because in SAP hands-on experience is very important just knowledge is not sufficient.

What is your YOE?

If you want learn new SAP skill you can learn SAP EWM and SAP ABAP and get certified . Check with your seniors also or people who are working in SAP.
