Need Honest Advice: Should I Resign Without an Offer? 🤔🚪
I’m at a point in my career where things are getting extremely frustrating. The work I’m handling right now has unclear requirements — even the business isn’t aligned. This change has been dragging on for a year, and now the escalations are landing directly on me.
I’ve been in this project for 4 years, and the work has become completely repetitive. No learning, no growth, and definitely no financial progress. I was promised a promotion, but the promotion cycle hasn’t opened. With the current escalations, I’m not even sure if I’ll get the C2 upgrade.
Because of the 3-month notice period, interview calls are extremely low. That’s pushing me to seriously consider resigning without an offer just to break out of this stagnation.
I’m targeting Data Analyst roles. My primary skill is SQL. I don’t have hands-on work experience in Power BI, but I’ve learned it and earned the Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst certification two months ago.
I’d appreciate genuine opinions from the community: Is resigning without an offer a stupid risk or a necessary reset? What would you do in my situation?

Don’t resign without offer. Try to apply for Infy, Capg,Accenture. They usually accept 90 day NP
Thanks for the suggestion! Actually, I already tried infosys and placed many applications but all are getting rejected due to different types of reasons. Like some are getting shortlisted and I even got HR call, but she said you will get invite but I didn't received any interview invitation mail. And for Accenture, I have applied but there's no update on it. And I have applied for other WITCH companies as well but no updates on them.
Your time will come. Have patience. Trust in the timing of God. He must be preparing something goid for you. Dont loose trust bro.
My situation -> i resigned two weeks ago once I cleared an offer letter with a fake relieving letter (company asked join 1 dec it wasn't possible so they revoked it). Now I don't have any offer letter, still giving interviews, asking referrals in linkedin. I'm 💯 sure that I will receive good news this week.
Risk wins! But there should be calculative risk.. dont put yourself into false hopes of promotions.. if you have skills just fly at your experience market is good! All the best

Yes if you are confident with your skills, go ahead and resign without offer
I am in the same boat as you.. however as of now resigning without an offer in hand seems to be a high risk considering the current situation in the market..
