Need Help Verifying Job Offer Authenticity
I recently received a job offer from MetLife Hyderabad after going through their hiring process, which included an online aptitude test, an online MCQ round, and an AI interview. I didn’t clear the MCQ round initially, but the offer was still released with a condition — I had to submit a certification and reattempt the test. This condition was mentioned in the offer letter itself.
I purchased and submitted the certificate as required, but after that, there has been no response from the recruiter. I’ve tried following up, but it’s been silent since then.
This has left me confused and concerned. I had a similar experience earlier with a supposed offer from a Qatar-based company asking for a government-recognized certification — I didn’t proceed with that. Now, a friend recently got an offer from Dubai with the same mandatory certification clause, which makes me wonder if this is a pattern or a scam to make candidates purchase specific certifications.
Has anyone else experienced something similar, especially with MetLife or other overseas offers involving mandatory certificates? Would really appreciate any insights or advice on how to verify if this offer is genuine.
