Need help regarding separation

Hi folks, Posting this on behalf of a friend to understand how such cases usually work in large IT services companies. My friend completed his last project and was later on bench. During the bench period, HR had suggested that he consider resigning, but he mentioned that he was already in discussions with project teams and interviews were ongoing. While these discussions were still in progress and the bench deadline was approaching, his system access and laptop got deactivated. With no further clarity, he submitted the laptop. Later, he received a formal discharge letter citing prolonged bench and stating: Immediate separation Salary in lieu of notice period Asset return requirement (already completed) Now his concerns are: Will he receive a proper relieving letter and experience letter? Will the full & final settlement be processed normally? Does this kind of discharge cause issues during future background verification? If anyone here has faced or seen a bench-based separation, could you please share: What documents were provided FnF timelines Any impact during BGV in next companies Thanks in advance — looking for genuine experiences and guidance.
