Need help picking my first credit card - graduated this year
Hey everyone! Graduated this year and started working recently, taking home around 70k after deductions. Completely new to credit cards and honestly a bit confused with all the options.
So I'm getting ICICI Sapphiro (MasterCard + Amex both) as LTF through my college alumni thing. Sounds good on paper but there's a catch - needs ₹75k quarterly spend for domestic lounge access. That's honestly too much for me right now and feels like a big negative.
I also checked HDFC's portal myself and found I'm eligible for Diners Club Black, but the ₹10k joining + annual fee is putting me off for a first card.
My actual usage: Mostly online shopping and regular spends Travel about 5 times a year (so roughly 10 flights) Movie tickets, event bookings occasionally
What I'm thinking:
Should I just grab the Sapphiro since it's free anyway? Even if lounges need high spend, at least no loss Or are there better cards that actually make sense for someone starting out?
Totally okay with building a 2-card setup if that's smarter
Would really appreciate some practical advice from folks who are into this!
