Need help on joining EY GDS and doubt on designation.
I have over 4+ years of experience in AI/ML and have recently received an offer from EY GDS for the position of Assistant Manager, Rank-42. I would like to understand the work-life balance at EY GDS and seek advice on whether it is a suitable choice, considering that I currently hold two additional offers from smaller organizations with a similar compensation package.
Additionally, I would appreciate insights into the designation structure at EY GDS. Based on my understanding, professionals with more than four years of experience are generally offered the Senior Consultant role. Therefore, I would like to know how the Assistant Manager Rank-42 designation compares to or differs from the Senior Consultant position within EY GDS.

EY GDS is always a better option when you want good brand name in resume + guarantee of good projects where you will learn a lot.
If WLB is your priority - I won't say EY will Not have it at all but chances are less.
WLB afterall completely depends on your project and Manager. Pure luck. No one can give definite answer whether you will get it or not. But chances are less as EY is famous for long hours work.
And don't take designations seriously for any MNC. Think about the pay. If it's good - everything else is secondary. Unless you want to show off outside that you are at XYZ or PQR post.
My approach would be - Take best salary and join a lower designation as higher designation attract non technical RFP work or managerial work which doesn't attract me much.
Unnecessary extra load.
But it differs person to person.

I would like to ensure that the designation offered to me at EY GDS involves assignments on client projects, rather than being limited primarily to internal or support initiatives. I have read that the Assistant Manager – Rank 42 position in technology consulting may sometimes be aligned with non-billable or internal support roles, and I want to avoid being restricted to such engagements.

@IT_ka_Karamchaari could you please revert on my follow-up question just in case you have an idea.

Can I know the CTC they are offering. I m awaiting salary discussion round for Manager position,14 yrs.

It completely depends on your YO experience and skillsets I believe. As I'm working in the AI ML domain with 4+ yrs of experience they are offering me 18 Lack as fixed compensation.
