Need help in AI domain
Hi everyone, I’m a bit confused about all the trends happening in AI right now.
Everywhere I look, people are talking about LLMs, LangChain, NLP, GenAI, Agentic AI, n8n, and a lot of companies seem to be hiring for these skills. I genuinely find all of this interesting and exciting to work on.
But it makes me wonder: What should someone actually focus on to grow their career?
Should I strengthen my fundamentals — algorithms, statistics, core ML concepts? Or should I prioritise what’s in demand right now — GenAI, LLM apps, LangChain, Agentic AI systems, automation workflows? Or either simpler Fast API
These skills are definitely trending, and clearly useful, but will they actually help in getting the next job, or will fundamentals matter more in the long run?
If you’re working in the AI space or hiring for these roles, I’d love to hear your perspective.
What should we focus on first, considering what’s actually in demand?
