Trending @Accenture; Need Help – Career Stagnation, Resigned Without Offer

Hi everyone,

I’m reaching out here for guidance, suggestions, or even just moral support.

I joined my current organization at L11 and was part of a project where I worked diligently, giving my 100% consistently. Despite repeated assurances of promotion “in the next cycle,” nothing materialized. I raised concerns and eventually had a conflict with the project leads, after which I asked to be released from the project.

Since then, I’ve been on the bench for six months—no projects, no utilization, and no clear direction from management. Out of sheer frustration and a feeling of stagnation, I submitted my resignation, even though I don’t currently have any offers in hand.

Now, I’ve been informed by HR that since I’m on the bench, I won’t be serving the standard 90-day notice period and will be released in just a week. That gives me very little time to figure things out.

Accenture has ruined my carrier. It has taken 3.5 years of my life—with no promotion, no pay revision, and no real recognition for my work. I feel stuck, disillusioned, and honestly, depressed. My confidence has taken a major hit and I’m unsure how to bounce back from this.

Any suggestions, support, or even a few words of encouragement would mean a lot to me right now.

Thanks in advance.

I would say you took the right decision at this point of your career. Be sure that you will get a job in max 3 months. Keep brushing up and take a break as well. It is only difficult with more than 15 yrs of exp. Accenture hr is such . For people who wants early release, they won’t release even if they are on bench. Just forget it as a bad experience

It's okay, don't lose hope. You are still in your initial stages of your career. Focus on interviews, prepare well and switch.

I understand it's a setback now but once you are back on the work you will be able to make up for the loss.

All the best 👍
