Need guidance with resignation.
I have been working at TCS for 3.5 years as of now. Cleared wings 1 last year in Feb and received compensation of 7.58 LPA. Now it is 8.13 LPA. HCL is offering me 11.5 LPA ( ~42% hike). So will it be a good decision to take this offer and resign keeping this offer as a backup and target for other offers?
I have given multiple interviews and observed that in my domain, 11-12 LPA is the max CTC, which companies offer for 3-4 years.

HCL is much easier to understand as an organisation and provides a better workspace. But if you are a smoker and do not make food please do not join the HCL sector 126 office because the cafeteria is almost 2 km away and for a cigarette you need to come all the way out of the office and it will piss you off everyday. So, yes you can take the offer from HCL and you can apply for other interviews as the offer letter can help you get even better hike.

It seems you have worked at HCL noida office. Can you please share some insights about the living cost and lifestyle around the office address.

If you are good at bargaining then it is a very easy to settle place but the crowd is everywhere. If you are looking for flats for rent, a raw 2bhk flat with semi-furnished status you can find it for around 10k-14k depending on the space & Location but you need to find the right person else they will start from 18-20k. For furnished flats I am not sure. Purchasing a flat can cost around 50 lacs for 2bhk Also, markets are also good cz its next to Delhi and it is expanding everyday so you will be able to find budget products.

As a person worked in both, I'll suggest not to go to HCL. Instead put papers and keep searching. If nothing comes then as a last chance u can join HCL
Last 3 years they didn't give any hike. So u r joining for a lesser hike and have to settle with that.

Thanks. I will make a final decision once I receive a offer letter from them. Till now HR round is done in which salary discussion has been done. Any idea how many days HCL takes to release offer letter after Hr round?
