Hi everyone,

My friend has been working as a Service Desk Specialist (CIS) for 5 years and is now looking to move into a more technical role with better pay.

Is it possible for someone from a service desk background to transition into a tech-based role? If yes, what roles would be a good fit to aim for, and what skills should he start learning?

Also, any suggestions on how to start this journey—like online courses, certifications, or edtech platforms that can help with this transition—would be really helpful.
