Need guidance for Data Engineer role
Guys, I’ve been working as a software engineer in robotics so far and have around 2.5 years of experience. I was looking to explore a different domain and casually applied to a company for data engineer role, and they’ve scheduled an interview for Monday. Can someone from the same domain suggest how I can prepare in a short time?

I work as a data engineer in the automotive industry. Would that help in giving you guidance?
not op but i work as data analyst & want to transition into DE as its bit more technical & interesting (in terms like how to handle huge data & building pipelines & databases).
if you can help me what are the basics i need to know to become a DE & what tools or engines i should learn ? thanks.
rn i’m just exploring things and trying to build projects - i worked on building a music search where i wrote inverted index (ik its not that daunting) from scratch & tf-idf for scoring. I see there’s a lot i can improve in algo so that’s the next part & everything is dockerized (so yeah even learned what docker is)
