
Need ESOPs advice
Hey everyone, hope y'all are doing good.
I wanted to get some advice on ESOPs.
I’m currently working as a Founding Product Designer at a US-based remote startup (team of around 10 people, company is 2.5 years old). Been here for 6 months, and I have 4 years of total experience.
My current CTC is 22 LPA (20 fixed + 2 variable).
My question: How should I go about asking for ESOPs? What’s the right way and time to bring it up, and what kind of structure or percentage would be reasonable in this setup?
Would love to hear thoughts from people who’ve been in similar early-stage setups.

FPD should have some ESOPs by default, if you need to ask for it, you probably won’t get it.
