Trending @Capgemini; Need clarity on my servicenow career
Hi All,
I have been working on servicenow since 2019. As a service desk agent for first 2 years. Then moved to admin role for 2 years and now in servicenow catalog development.
With this what has happened is I know about service catalog but wherever I interview they ask for a full stack servicenow dev role which includes all modules.
Plus I don't have much experience as developer in servicenow. I can get any kind of work done but when it comes to interviews and making something from scratch that's where I fail.
And now that I have left the admin role a while ago, those skills are also fading away. They made change two teams because of requirements and every time I ask for promotion they say you don't have much experience in this team so can't promote. That is a loop I've been stuck now. I get my team changed because I perform well in that team and when I ask for promotion they say can't promote as you just came into the team.
Three promotions in almost 6 years.
Please suggest me what should I do. I love the work I do but the pay is very very less and it's getting difficult to survive.
Thanks!

You need to stop jumping teams and focus on mastering one area. Stick to one role and become an expert. Companies value deep expertise over jack-of-all-trades. Also, demand a salary increase, you deserve at least 10 lakh rupees for your experience.

Thanks! That's what I'm working on as of now. Thanks for your response.
