Trending @Cognizant; Need clarity on Cognizant rehire eligibility after 5+ months

Hi all, I need some clarity on Cognizant rehire policy.

I left Cognizant a little over 5 months ago. Last week, I attended the walk-in drive and cleared the interview. Now the HR team mentioned that they need to check my rehire eligibility since it’s been only 5+ months.

Does anyone know if they will release the offer or is there a chance it might get cancelled? If any HRs or anyone with recent experience is here, could you please share your insights?

Why you want to come back in cognizant again bro that too in 30% pay cut from the current package you are getting. There is nothing left in cognizant this year too year hike has got delayed by 6 months that too very negligible hike which is equals to peanuts and promotions are also getting delayed and we are getting only 15% increment after promotion. They are many good and better opportunities outside just grab them. You are making the worst, rubbish, bullishit, fullish decision to come back

I have been re hired with same role and package. My advice would be to look for something because there are no increments if you get re hired.

It won’t be cancelled unless you were no for rehire from previous management, the big point here will be don’t expect hike on your current. In case you’ll get 10% on current that would be a great one

Thank you very much for your response sir/mam. HR has already mentioned that they can’t match my current salary. I even said I’m fine with taking up to a 30% lower package, but still they don’t seem convinced.
