Need carrer advise to choose technology and switch company

while i have been working at Infosys for the past 1 year on a support and maintenance project in .NET (C#, Visual Basic, WebForms, and ADO.NET). I am planning to switch next year.

On the preparation side, I have covered DSA and solved 250+ problems on LeetCode. However, I don’t see many openings for .NET roles on LinkedIn/Naukri. I mostly see more opportunities in Java.

I am thinking of learning Java on my own, but I want clarity:

For switching to a mid-level product-based company, is having strong DSA + experience in .NET projects enough?

Or do companies usually hire based on the tech stack we have worked on previously (e.g., .NET vs Java)? and I don’t want to continue on .Net because it’s old.
