Need advice please.
I have 10 years experience, While my bench ending in wipro, I got allocated to some IT support project which I am not interested in (my previous role was SRE). And I wanted join some SRE DevOps project but no hands on SRE DevOps tools I didn’t get internally.
Now, internally I got SRE UK based project,I already gave the 1st round interview for an internal SRE project lead and the client round is pending and role is very good . The lead is asking me to get released from my current project before they can schedule the client round. After client interview if may not confirm me, there could be a problem without allocation. How can I handle this situation? How can convey to current project now..

Yes, I asked the same clarification—whether I’ll be allocated to the DevOps project after the client call. However, the project’s DevOps manager mentioned that if ur current project manager is unwilling to release you, the client might question it later, which could create a bad impression on Wipro.
my KT for the current project was completed two weeks ago , its IT Support role (zero scope for growth ), can ask current manager My skills are related to DevOps, but this is IT Support role, which is not aligned with my core expertise.
will they agree to release me after I am selected in the client call for devopsrole ?
