Need Advice + Opportunities | React Developer Considering a Risky Move
Hey folks, I'm a React Developer with 4 years of experience at Accenture, currently in a bit of a dilemma and would really appreciate some guidance or leads.
I've been actively job hunting for the past year and recently accepted an offer from a startup based in Mumbai. It's a big shift for me not just career-wise, but also location-wise. At Accenture, I've been lucky to work remotely from my hometown thanks to their flexible WFO policies. Moving to Mumbai would be a significant change financially and personally.
The startup offered ₹8 LPA (₹7L fixed + ₹1L variable, based on performance). My current package at Accenture is ₹6.5 LPA, so the hike isn't huge. I accepted because I hadn't received any other offers yet, and they were okay with my 3-month notice period.
It's been about 20 days since I accepted the offer, and honestly, things haven’t been great on the interview front. Just 4 interview calls, all rejections so far. I’m starting to seriously question my decision to resign especially with no strong pipeline yet.
Some folks have suggested I consider retracting my resignation at Accenture if things don’t pick up soon. But I’m feeling a bit lost.
If anyone has:
- Openings for ReactJS roles (remote or flexible preferred)
- Suggestions to boost interview conversions and get more calls
- Honest thoughts on whether to stick with the startup or try to stay at Accenture
…I’d be super grateful.

I would suggest to stay in Accenture at least 1 more year.
- You’ll get gratuity if you work for 5 years.
- Your start up offer is not good as getting only 50k hike ( 1L is variable and conditional. So it not 100%)
- You’ll have to move to mumbai which is costly place to stay so if you think about cost you’llactually end up getting less than your current job
- Current market conditions are not soo good and not ideal for the job switch.
Better to wait and change when market gradually start to move on positive side which according to me at least gonna take 6-8 months minimum. That way you will get a better opportunities and growth.

I'm open to working from a different location as well given I get a decent package.
