Need advice on support role to development role transition

Hi All, Hope you are all doing well. I'm stuck in support role, handling incident tickets & publishing status reports since 1.5 years. My learning is almost null.

I'm currently doing java DSA (350) & picking up on springboot tutorials. Given the support job role, 90 days np, & current market, how difficult is it to land a backend developer role. (Happy to take paycut).

Or should I just quit my current role & enroll for some placement bootcamps.

What can I do better to improve myself.

Thanks in advance.

I am in the similar situation and I am serving notice period. Let me tell you my strategy...

I attended all the interview that come along my way irrespective of job roles. Got one non technical offer. Put paper and now I am getting interview calls for technical roles, as my notice period is around 45 days now.

Do not go for bootcamps or something, just resign and continue learning. Once the release date is near you will get jobs. You have to take a chance, better put papers in Jan and you will get jobs by March or so. and start lying if not yet.

You can update your digital profile if you have done any projects in any technology earlier . Mention that you are looking for dev opportunities.I got into dev the similar way.

Searching for the same answers for the same question. But my problem is, I'm in Oracle domain 🥲 gets even more difficult. Very anxious to be honest. My preferred language is python. Searching for python projects in TCS but couldn't find one.
