Need advice on next step

I took a long leave for some personal reason. Now the situation has changed and I want to work. Is it good to join back Capgemini or take some time to prepare and change? I seriously don't want to continue with the projects i worked on but feel insecure about the IT job market so I'm not confident enough to resign.
