Trending @Infosys; Need advice on my situation - WFO office or Resignation

I was mostly working from office since April when I joined Infy. All these months no one asked if I'm working from office or not but I went. I just came back home due to some emergency and wasn't planning to go back to be honest as I see a lot of my team members working from home since long. My timesheet also has 264 hours monthly quota of WFH so no issues there. But suddenly a day after I came home, an order was passed by upper management in my project that next 1.5 months we need to WFO everyday. Looks like some kind of tactic to keep employees working during festival season.

I was anyways planning to resign next month but now thinking of doing it sooner. Working here at Infosys turned out to be a really bad experience.

Is there any possibilty that my resignation gets rejected? Worst case scenario, can I be terminated after resignation, if I refuse to WFO. I'm still in probation. Was planning to resign next month because I have some leaves that I have to take due to family commitments.

It depends, I have some serious health issues, so I can't go to office. I requested for WFH, but they denied. So ia m on LOP

in my case HR told me they will terminate if I won't go office in next month.

Hey I too had good reasons not to visit office, but despite submitting medical documents, i was only extended 1 month or wfh. I started looking outside and by God's grace got a fully remote opportunity. Do what works best for you, I felt Infosys is not supportive enough when it comes to employee's convenience or personal health, unless it is maternity.

If you have good knowledge please look outside and resign. When we were doing wfh our current salary was might be ok but since wfo is there our expenditure increased drastically in metro cities but package is still same. So this wfo and wfh dilemma is really pathetic.

There are still some company in market who are looking for wfh or hybrid option.

No one can reject your resignation. But be prepared to WFO from whichever company you are joining next . WFH is not going to be there forever. Things will most likely be like pre-pandemic for all companies by 1st of Jan

If you want to resign, do it through the e-separation tool. Notice periods apply. Refusing WFO might affect your pay but termination is unlikely. Discuss with your manager for clarity.
