Need Advice on Joining Infosys from Another City & Transferring to Kolkata

I’m a full-stack developer (Node.js, React) with 4 years of experience, based in Kolkata. I recently received an offer from Infosys for a Node.js developer role. However, HR informed me that Kolkata is not an available location right now, even though a new DC has opened here last year.

I am the only earning member in my family, and my mother, who is unwell, is fully dependent on me. I shared this situation with HR, but they mentioned that if I cannot join from another location, they will have to stop the process.

I’ve been unemployed for the past month due to a layoff, so I truly want to take this opportunity. My question is — if I join from Hyderabad, is it possible to transfer to Kolkata within 1–2 months? Has anyone experienced something similar or knows the process?
