Need Advice: MacBook Pro Motherboard Issue Out of Warranty

Hi everyone,

I bought a MacBook Pro (14') just over a year ago (about 14-15 months), and unfortunately, I didn't purchase the extended AppleCare. Recently, my MacBook suddenly stopped working, and I can't power it on anymore. The charging light doesn't show up, but I can feel a slight vibration when I touch the body.

I took it to an Apple Authorized Service Center, and they told me it's a motherboard issue that needs to be replaced. They also mentioned that because the Touch Bar is part of the motherboard, it would need to be replaced as well. The total cost for the repair is around ₹56,000.

I asked if there was any water damage or physical damage, and they confirmed there wasn't any. I've heard about consumer protection laws that might cover repairs for manufacturing defects even out of warranty, but I'm not sure if that applies in India.

Does anyone have experience with this? Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!
