Need Advice: M.Tech at IIT Goa with TCS Experience - Sabbatical or Resign?

Hey everyone, I have 3 years of experience at TCS and recently got an offer for an M.Tech program in VLSI at IIT Goa. Should I take a sabbatical leave or resign to pursue this opportunity? Any advice or insights would be greatly appreciated!

Its better to resign. You wil have so many opportunities after mtech in vlsi

Resign and go for the course, VLSI is and will be in demand, TI, NVIDIA, INTEL and many more doors will open for u. Just trust urself and go for it.
Note: although u can take 2 yrs of sabatical, but of no good as tcs won't increase much compensation.

Thanks for all your suggestions. One doubt is that Is it okay if I resign when I am on Sabbatical leave?

Bro I don't suggest you to go for Higher Education. As you have 3 yrs exp, jump from TCS with good pack, try to shift every year. So that by the time you reach 12 yrs exp. You can have good pack in hand.

No one bothers about education right now, Money matters at the end.

This is purely my perspective.

If you are sponsored by TCS, then they don't allow you to resign, but you will be on sabbatical. However, if you don't need TCS sponsorship for higher studies, then you can resign and study. After 2 years of higher studies, you will be in a much better position, so you will never regret your decision

Hi @DrearyDamn , Please go to HR policy hub and find out higher study policy. TCS will give you sponsorship based on some criteria.
