Trending @Infosys; Need Advice: Infosys Early Release During Notice Period (Bench) + Joining Date Fixed with New Employer
Hi all, I need some clarity regarding my exit process from Infosys.
I resigned on 26 November.
My official 90-day notice period ends on 25 February.
I was released from my project on 28 November because the client cut resources.
I already have an offer from another company, and I’ve confirmed my joining date after 90 days (end Feb / early March).
Now Infosys HR is saying that because I’m on bench and serving notice as per new policy, they will initiate early release.
They even mentioned a date like 12 December, which is barely any time.
I’m confused because I thought the early release would still require my acceptance, and Dec 12 feels unrealistically early.
My questions:
-
Can Infosys force an early release date without my consent?
-
What is the realistic early LWD they usually give in such cases?
-
Will this affect my relieving letter, experience letter, or F&F?
-
My next employer expects me only after my 90-day notice. If Infosys releases me early, is it okay to have a gap?
-
Has anyone else faced this “early release due to bench + new policy” situation recently?
Any insights from people who left Infosys recently would be really helpful.
Thanks!

Why not? Its dream scenario for u ? do u have offer letter for feb/march 2026 in hand?
If yes it gap of 2 months wont matter ,another is u can easily give more interviews as u are free now from dec 12 until date of joining

I do have offer letter in hand. I was planning on attending more interviews till my DoJ in Feb end This early release seemed sudden

Attend more interviews with in this 2 months and may be you will get better offer than what you already have and demand them more with that offer letter and you are immedite joiner they will give more otherwise you can ask for Early joining

Talk with hr and say that you will serve 90 days. They can't force you to release early. Worst they can do is to ask you to get into project. Join any project before you start actual work time will pass. Or many people won't take you to project as you are on notice. You can timepass by saying that you are searching for a project. Meanwhile check with new employer that you can join early. They would most probably agree.
