Trending @Capgemini; Need Advice from all !!

Hi guy, I have completed 4 years in Capgemini, currently since last 6 months, i am on bench, as my project vendor was changed, it's no longer in Capgemini. I was part pf project for almost 3.6 years. It was support role with Oracle Sql, ServiceNow as ticket tool, some java and spring, but no hands on work on backend part, cam only read incase any issues came or to replicate any issue. But I'm facing problem now, learning java and spring boot again as they will not give me any development project based on my past project.

Currently I'm actively applying outside for Java developer and upgrading my java and springboot.

Is it the right path or any advice please. How do i carry on with my career and other options.
