Need Advice: Career decision with parenthood coming up
Is moving from hybrid to full WFO worth a 21 LPA offer at this stage of life?
I’m currently in a hybrid role (~10 days/month WFO). I have an offer for 21 LPA that requires full Work From Office with alternate Saturdays working.
With major family responsibilities coming up, I’m weighing flexibility, health, commute impact, and long-term sustainability alongside compensation.
For those who’ve worked in similar high-pay, high-office-presence roles - would you make this switch at this phase of life? What should I realistically factor in beyond just the salary?

No.
Not at all a good option considering you would have a new born baby at home.
Best suggestion would be to take any offer for now and go on Notice period and look further for Hybrid options only. Best - Remote jobs.
But atleast Hybrid and Hybrid options are easily available in market compared to Remote.

Flexibility does seem hard to trade off at this stage. Will think through hybrid/remote options more carefully... Thanks.
Absolutely not, if the fact that going to office 5 days wasn't bad enough, they want you to show up on Saturday too? 😂 Pretty sure you'll find better options.

Fair point. The Saturday working is part of a fixed, government-style work schedule with defined 8-hour days and standard public holidays. Still evaluating whether that structure works long term.

No money in the world is worth going back to office.
