Trending @Infosys; Need Advice
I am working hard on my project, I was taking responsibility as a lead, manager, business analyst and developer as well. I am familiar with my manager, delivery manager, and client. I am a Platinum Club member as well. I got nominated for onsite as well but not selected in lottery system. But there is no hike for past 2 years and this year as well making me frustrated. What should I do?
Lottery system is for US visa. It’s not Infosys system but US policy
Bro I think can understand your situation...as there is already possibility of onsite, u don't wanna loose it...bcz in new project u have to work for again for some time, make connections and create yoir impressions....I get it. You want a salary hike till you get a chance for onsite and don't want to leave company....
Best thing is get a offer latter...with if possible 80-100% hike....then show it to manager...most probably they will give u a 60%... offcourse u have to communicate well in between...this is a double edge sword situation...but as u said u know delivery manager and also selected for onsite so clients also likes u...with good persuasive and requesting approach u will get what u wanted. Thanks bro. I am also thought of doing the same. but onsite is very difficult bcs of lottery system. My architect got rejected in lottery system more than 10 years. Let me get an offer and negotiate with my manager, if they agrees to retain me then let me stay or let me switch it.
What is the lottery system in infy??
Our manager will nominate hs for onsite. like totally approx 85K employees will be noninated for an year. And there is a system which randomly picks 7k employees alone for the next steps and remaining will be rejected.
I dont like this system as well. They should nominate only the person who will be going to onsite without any further checks.
Here System will not check whether you are a hard working employee or not, it will just randomly picks the employee and proceed to further steps.
No point in getting frustrated. You can try for other jobs unless you are a diehard lover of Infy.
Switch the company
What is your JL, if you can apply IJP for promotion you will get hike. If you are to be progressed then switch to different company
I am in JL 4. But my domain is not in the IJP. There are more scopes for my domain in many organisations so I am not planning to change my domain through IJP.
Better switching the company is the one of possibility

H1b is just lolipop to retain employee, they know chances is very low to get it
