Need advice at crucial stage

I am from Non-technical background and have mostly worked in operations. I was offered role of MSTR developer few months back (because I worked on this tool before but not as developer but as strategy and insight analyst- so it was about generating reports). I accepted role as I wanted to enter into technical role. However, now after 2 months, I have been informed that role was not materialised as client is running out of budget. I have been asked if I am fine with one of support role in PL/SQL, if yes i can connect that person or else I will get a release in 2 weeks. I wanted to know, how are these support roles and what kind of workload is there? If workload is less, then would it be opportunity to learn PL/SQL?

I would say, take release and join other project as MSTR developer.

There are very few projects which are using Microstrategy, so rarely such roles are available or vacant. I am trying to learn Power Bi developer but not sure if that will help me
