Need advice about freelancing while working full time.
During Covid time i had registered as a freelancer on Upwork and now I have developed the profile in such a way that I am getting decent work. At that time I was a fresher and Upwork was a means to generate extra income but now as i am moving up the corporate ladder in my Tech consulting firm. Should I consider stopping it?
Please advice me.. I am not sure what to do here. I thought there would be no way that my employee can find out about my Upwork work and earnings because they do not have access to.my tax filing. But in future specially in Big four.. do you think they might ask for my ITR filings for past years of they consider me for manager role? What should I do.. please help me in details. Thank you

I heard for manager there is an annual audit process where they do check such things like ITR report for past several years and intependece compliance etc
KPMG did not ask me anything apart from Salary slips while joining.
However, HR can suddenly change rules or introduce new ones where they might ask for ITR docs. Nowadays, employees do a lot of fraud (fake job experience with no payslips available) and ITR can help companies verify.
Do companies ask for ITRs? It's a very personal document. Would appreciate answers from other Big4 joinees.
