Need advice

I started as a Frontend-heavy Full Stack Dev and still working in the same domain (3.5 YOE). Tbh I don't like working on the Frontend even though I am pretty good at it. (Built 2 applications from scratch and 5 features in existing applications; All are in production)

I am more interested in Backend, DevOps and Distributed Systems engineering.

I want to know if it is possible to transition to distributed systems engineering directly? Or are there any intermediate steps required? What can/should I do to achieve this?

Also, if somebody has undergone this transition, please do share your journey. It will be really helpful.

P.S.: I have created 2 applications from scratch using React.js, Node.js & Spring Boot while working in previous company. Both the products were successful. In current company working on Next.js. Also, have 4 certifications each in AWS and GCP and am really interested in working on backend and cloud.
